Spiced Dark Chocolate Discs

These subtly spiced dark chocolate discs are ideal for a little chocolate indulgence during the cold autumn and winter months. They also make perfect presents when wrapped in pretty cellophane bags.


Chocolatier’s Tip

You can experiment with different flavoured discs; for a fruity twist, sprinkle with freeze dried raspberries or take inspiration from the tropics and add a sprinkling of desiccated coconut.

  • 300 g Lindt Excellence 70% Cocoa Dark Chocolate, chopped
  • 3 tbsp blanched nuts, chopped
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp flaked sea salt
  • Or
  • Zest of a large orange

Step 1.

Line 2 baking sheets with grease-proof paper.

Step 2.

Put the chopped chocolate into a heat-proof bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water. Stir until smooth and melted.

Step 3.

Pour 1 tbsp rounds of the melted chocolate, spaced apart, onto the prepared baking sheets. Carefully spread, using the back of a spoon, to form discs about 4 cm in diameter.

Step 4.

Sprinkle over your choice of toppings before leaving to set.
